Nominal capacity is not the same as usable energy. Both models have a 90% depth of discharge; actual operation depends on your system settings.

Which batteries do you install?
We fit Fox ESS EP6 and EP12 batteries. The EP6 has 5.76 kWh nominal capacity per unit and the EP12 has 11.52 kWh. We recommend the size around your electricity use and equipment.
Do I need solar panels to have a battery?
No. A suitable battery system can charge from the grid and store electricity for later use. The benefit depends on your tariff, usage and system design.
Can you add a battery to my existing solar system?
In many cases, yes. We check your existing inverter, electrical installation and available space before recommending a compatible battery retrofit.
Can I add more storage later?
The EP series supports up to four units in parallel, subject to compatible equipment and installation design. We check your inverter’s limits and expansion options at the survey.
Will the battery power my home in a power cut?
Do not assume battery storage automatically provides power during an outage. Backup depends on the inverter, system configuration and any additional wiring. Ask us to confirm what your proposed installation will support.
What warranty comes with the battery?
Battery cover runs to 10 years, subject to Fox ESS warranty terms. We register the manufacturer warranty in your name, and the installation is protected by an insurance-backed guarantee.
